HI, my Name is Jeanne. I was born in Darlington England, as my mother was born in Canada and she wanted to go to England to fight the war, and of course I came along after she was in England. I do have many a tale to tell about my birth in England and also the big War of WWII of 60+ years ago.
I have two Associates degrees that includes a nursing degree, my license is not active at this time; however, my memory is an elephant memory. I have the luck of remembering so much, and willing to share with so many. I enjoy learning, as I have made a pledge to learn something new every day, that way I can keep my brain active and excited about new things in teaching as well as learning. I like my nursing, the humane body is very exciting and interesting to me, and I like anatomy, nurse patient relations, as well as Doctor/Patient relations. Public Speaking is one of my favorites, learning how to read also is and can be a fun time, I taught 10 years of Computer classes and that was also the software, as I did Beta testing of software. Such as WordPerfect, Lotus, and other Data base software, like Quicken. Planing a course work that would be used to help a student learn things for a class. Also how do you format a disk for your computer? Law is one that I enjoy teaching and learning, as Ethics are very important. Paralegal is my favorite to learn, as many a new law is made it is amended also, I have been involved in making laws such as the "Hippa Law" that is the famous patients rights law. Also I was very much involved in the making of the "Federal American Disability Act" Very important law, that has helped people with disabilities and protect there rights. I am sure you or your Teachers may have questions, Please ask. I have done a lot with reading also, as some have a hard time reading; That is OK, we will get through all that. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taught computers off and on for a total of 30 + years, starting with Software that was to be used in computers for E-Mail, documentation writing, learning the hardware of the computer, what software can you run on the computer, at what speed, Version of the software, and of course the price of the software.
