I'm a National Merit Scholar with a 4.45 GPA, a 34 ACT, and a 1430 PSAT, and I'm currently heading into my freshman year of college. I'm a National Merit Scholar with a 4.45 GPA, a 34 ACT, and a 1430 PSAT, and I'm currently heading into my freshman year of college. Throughout high school, I found myself drawn to helping others learn, whether it was explaining math concepts or breaking down tricky problems. I've worked as a TA in both a seventh-grade math class and a freshman band class, experiences that taught me how to communicate clearly, stay patient, and adjust my teaching style to different ages and personalities. I'm comfortable working with seventh graders, freshmen, and any high school students preparing for the ACT.
I chose to tutor the ACT because it's the test I understand best and the one where I feel I can make the biggest impact. My approach always starts with figuring out where a student currently stands, then building a plan that focuses on the skills that raise scores the fastest. I help students understand the structure of the test, identify the easiest points to gain, and develop a strong game plan so they walk in feeling confident instead of overwhelmed.
During sessions, I often begin with a short practice test or section to see what will help most. From there, we work on targeted strategies, review common question types, and practice with free official tests. I also create custom problems when a student needs extra support in a specific area. My goal is to make the process feel exciting and motivating, not stressful. Every student deserves a clear plan, steady guidance, and someone who believes they can improve - and that's the environment I work hard to create.
