The best writing tutor I've worked with on Wyzant

Kirsten is the best tutor I've worked with on Wyzant. Over the past several weeks, she helped me improve not only my academic writing skills but also my reading comprehension and overall approach to learning. Before working with her, I struggled with organizing essays, outlining, writing strong thesis statements and claims, using evidence effectively, and explaining my reasoning. She taught me how to approach writing as a step-by-step process instead of trying to write everything at once. We also worked on paraphrasing, grammar, sentence structure, BLUF writing, brainstorming, and responsible AI use. One thing I especially appreciated was that she didn't just correct my work, she taught me how to think about writing and reading. Because of that, I became much more confident tackling difficult texts and organizing my ideas before I started writing. I feel much better prepared for the academic demands of college because of her guidance. She is knowledgeable, patient, supportive, and genuinely cares about her students' progress. We had a fantastic experience with Kirsten. She is organized, kind and responsible. Kirsten reaches out before each lesson to make sure she knows the topic and how to best help my son. Making sure the time was used efficiently. Kirsten followed up to see how my son did on his exam the following day. Knowledgeable and Creative Tutor

Kirsten was able to help my son at the last minute on a Sunday to help him prepare for an oral exam in Spanish. My son has struggled with the language and she was able to help him with his fluency and give him ideas on how to relax and prepare himself just before the exam started. She's a great addition to my sons Spanish education! Highly recommend!!
