I am a certified English teacher with a Bachelor's degree in English Education and a Master's (MLitt) in creative writing from the University of Stirling in Scotland. I have over five years of classroom teaching experience, working primarily with middle school students in English language arts and social studies. In addition to teaching, I am a published author, and I enjoy helping students develop confidence in their writing, whether they are working on essays, creative stories, research papers, or reading comprehension.

My teaching philosophy is that every student can become a stronger writer with the right support. I tailor each lesson to the individual student's needs, learning style, and goals rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe writing is a skill that improves through clear instruction, practice, and constructive feedback. I also help students build critical thinking, organization, grammar, revision strategies, and confidence so they can succeed both in school and beyond. I have experience teaching students with a variety of learning needs and strive to create a patient, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

Whether you're looking for help improving grades, preparing for assignments, strengthening reading and writing skills, or developing your creative voice, I'm excited to help you reach your goals. My aim is not just to help students complete their current assignment but to give them the skills and confidence they can continue using long after our tutoring sessions are over.
