I am a licensed teacher with three years of teaching experience across both public and private school settings. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and have experience teaching a variety of grade levels and instructional methods. Next school year will mark my third year teaching in a public school setting.
My teaching experience includes teaching 1st grade using the Montessori method, 3rd grade in a public school, and currently 4th grade. In my current role, I teach all core subjects, including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Through these experiences, I have developed strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, differentiated instruction, and student data analysis.
A large portion of my students over the past two years have entered my classroom below grade level in reading, writing, and math. Because of this, I have worked diligently to identify learning gaps and implement strategies to support student growth and academic success. I believe strongly in helping students connect new learning to prior knowledge so they can build a deeper understanding rather than compartmentalizing concepts.
In addition to teaching, I have volunteer experience working with individuals with disabilities through adaptive swim programs. I have also volunteered for school community events such as STEM Night and Halloween Festival activities.
I am extremely hardworking, dependable, and committed to meeting deadlines and expectations. I am interested in a remote position that I can work during both the summer and the school year as a side job. I would be excited for the opportunity to apply my educational background, communication skills, and passion for helping students succeed in a remote setting.
