Hi, I am Chelsea!
I have been tutoring different individuals in ASL since 2016 in person. Up until now, I have mostly been tutoring English as a second language, with ASL being more of a secondary focus. I also grew up with a hard-of-hearing mother who primarily taught me English Sign Language, also known as SEE, which is very different. When I became an adult, we transitioned to ASL. Chelsea is a gem! She is incredibly knowledgeable in ASL. She puts my daughter at ease so the learning becomes fluid and my daughter retains more of the material covered. Also, Chelsea makes the lessons fun!

Chelsea is amazing! Flexible for individual student needs. Personally, I need the tutoring not only for my ASL 101 class, but because I genuinely want to learn the language and don't have anyone to conversate with. She has been amazingly patient as I try and incorporate sign language into our conversation, never making me feel pressured or nervous. I feel encouraged after every meeting! I feel like I'm learning to break the barrier between memorizing a language and speaking it. Thank you so much Chelsea! Would 100% recommend.

My daughter says she’s great and so nice
My daughter took an interest in learning sign language and finding a teacher was difficult until I discovered Wyzant and found a teacher many states away who could teach on zoom and had lots of experience with kids younger and older. My daughter loves their sessions together and is enjoying the experience completely and finds her to be a perfect match. I could not be happier about having her teaching my daughter. Also, the price is really great and makes this so affordable. Awesome value. You can see I’m really happy about this. :)
