Hi, I’m Frances, and I have over 25 years of math teaching and tutoring experience. In my decades as a professional educator, I’ve taught 7th and 8th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Advanced Math, and Trig. I have both a Bachelor of Science degree in Math Education from Mississippi University for Women and a Master’s in Education from William Carey University, where I graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I have also been honored as Teacher of the Year.

I have a deep understanding of how the concepts and skills learned starting in 6th-grade math (the foundation of Algebra) build into the next math level, ensuring a strong foundation for success throughout future math classes. I am especially passionate about tutoring 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to help them build this solid foundation.

I specialize in identifying areas where students have difficulties with math problems, explaining where they made a mistake, and helping them make the needed corrections to both successfully solve the problem and build a stronger skill foundation of knowledge for other similar problems.

I believe that every student is capable of being successful at math with the right help and foundation. I’ll help you effectively use and build on the math knowledge you already have to be successful in your math class!

If you have any questions about my tutoring or would like to schedule a session, please reach out! I’m happy to help and am looking forward to getting you the tutoring help you need!
