Troy has been helping my son improve his writing. There has been very noticeable progress I observed from my son, which I believe is largely due to Troy's knowledgeable, patient and customized tutoring. First, Troy helped my son grow a positive attitude with writing -- from being reluctant or even afraid of writing to feeling comfortable and sometimes even interested in writing down things in his mind. In addition, my son's writing skills have improved a lot under Troy's tutoring -- from grammar, to structure, to flow and to even some creative thinking. The length of the article has also increased from only a few short sentences in the beginning to with quite a few paragraphs filled with details and interesting thoughts. Beyond that, I highly recommend Troy because I think that he took time to understand where my son needed help and customized the way of teaching. I feel that sets Troy apart from other writing tutors I hired for my son before. Last but not least, Troy is very patient, and also fun! A Must Have English Tutor
I was a bit skeptical about having a remote tutor. Online schooling during the covid pandemic was challenging enough for my daughter that I decided to homeschool her. Furthermore, my daughter, who was in 3rd grade when she first started with Mr. Troy, didn't have enough exposure to a keyboard. However, my friend strongly recommended Mr. Troy. Today, my daughter, is in 5th grade, and she still gets tutored by Mr. Troy. Mr Troy makes her laugh and makes the lesson fun. His command of English language and its rules are strong. Even I have relearned those comma rules. Mr. Troy has the patience and the temperament to tutor kids. He challenges my daughter's listening skill by calmly stating how he has already explained the question.
