Mississippi State University (English, Philosophy)
I am a recent graduate of MSU in English and Philosophy with an emphasis in Religion. I have an alternate route teaching license and I am currently looking for teaching jobs in the Golden Triangle and surrounding areas. In the meantime, however, I hope to be able to help your student succeed through tutoring.
I have experience tutoring college athletes at Mississippi State through the Department of Athletic Academics and I taught in the Lowndes County School District in the Spring semester of 2015. Through this experience, I have learned how to distinguish a student's particular learning style and adjust my methods to meet that student's needs.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As a Philosophy major, my concentration was in Religion. I took and passed every class that was offered in religion from Intro to Religion to surveys of both the Old and New Testament, to theology and church history classes. I have lead Bible studies through different church and Christian conference avenues as well as being a Christian Camp counselor for three summers during my college career at Camp Victory in Samson, AL. Currently, I am auditing seminary classes through my local church here in Starkville. We are currently studying the book of Acts.
