I graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a B.S. in Biology. I graduated from U.W. Madison with a Ph.D. in Genetics. I have taught Biology and Genetics Lectures and Labs at Loyola University Chicago and Loyola University New Orleans for almost 20 years. I have regular office hours where I have tutored students. I love getting that moment where it clicks for the student and they understand the concept. That is very rewarding. I also love to hear how they have improved in their courses.

I break things down to make things understandable. I also relate subjects to the real world to make them more interesting. For example in Genetics, Drosophila have many genes that are similar to human genes. We can learn about human genes by studying Drosophila. Drosophila have cheep breed and many offspring which make them great for Genetics studies. We can learn about concepts such as aging in humans by studying Drosophila.
