I have been Adjunct Faculty and ESL manager at the University Level. I enjoy breaking down language barriers and learning from students with language backgrounds from around the globe.
I love to spell, I love to teach spelling, I love the moment when a student "clicks" and realizes that those 26 letters combined can make hundreds of thousands of words. I was the spelling bee champ in grade school.
I enjoy civics and social studies, most students find it boring but taught the right way there is much to learn in social studies.
I have an MEd from the University of Mississippi and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
I use a lot of materials of interest to engage students, I have taught reading to people of all ages and I enjoy teaching people how to read, it opens the world up to them. I have concerns that braille students are not getting their deserved lessons due to COVID and I would like to offer my services to make sure they keep up with their braille lessons.
