Hello, I'm Kendra! I graduated from Walden University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2024 and completed the Teach Mississippi Institute Alternate Route Pathway with Ole Miss that same year. While pursuing my degree and teacher licesnsure, I worked as an English as a Second Language assistant teacher at an elementary school. During my four years as an assistant teacher, I was thoroughly trained in all things phonics and I have experience working with students from various backgrounds. I currently teach 8th grade English and I am pursuing my Master's of Education degree in English Language Learning.
I am certified to teach various different subjects such as: 7-12 grade English, 7-12 Social Studies, 7-12 Psychology, K-12 English as a Second Language, and K-12 Spanish. My passions include language learning and research, so I am always looking for different ways to help my students and myself learn.
Throughout the last 7 years, I have gained experience in helping a multitude of students further their education and build confidence! I look to offer all students the help and support they need and deserve, so I always welcome any and all suggestions from students and parents. My goal is also to offer timely responses to all inquiries!
