Structured and Reliable
My 13 year old son, Simon, has been taking lessons with Greg for a few months. Simon indicates Greg has helped him improve his skills, his confidence and his rhythm. The attributes that I note follow: Reliability: One of the first things I appreciated about my Greg was his reliability. Each lesson started on time, and every session was well-prepared, maximizing their time together. This consistency was key for me, especially when balancing Simon's schedule and my own. Systematic Approach: Greg employs a systematic approach to teaching, with clear goals set from the outset. This structured path is very predicatble and beneficial to Simon's progress and ability to work outside lessons Identifying and Addressing Areas of Struggle: According to Simon - one of Greg's standout qualities is his keen ability to swiftly identify areas where he struggles and address them in a manner that was both kind and direct. This prevents him from allowing bad habits to root, and he is able to progress in his learning without unnecessary setbacks. Approachability and Communication: It’s rare to find an instructor who is both technically proficient and approachable. Questions and concerns were always welcomed, and answers were communicated in a way that was easy to comprehend. This open line of dialogue not only made learning more effective but also more enjoyable. To anyone considering drum lessons, I cannot recommend Greg enough. His teaching style, combined with patience and encouragement, has made all the difference in Simon's learning journey. If you're looking to build foundational skills, finesse your technique, or simply explore the joy of drumming, look no further.

Really knows what he's doing. He showed me all kinds of things in a one-hour lesson and was very patient and has a good sense of humor. Really nice guy and super knowledgeable. I hope to take more lessons with him.
