I hold a Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in Brain and Behavior, a master’s degree in Psychology, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. My academic background includes behavioral statistics, research methods, learning, and the scientific study of behavior. My doctoral dissertation involved a meta-analysis, giving me extensive experience evaluating research and interpreting statistical findings.
I have taught Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences and Psychology of Learning to college students, including teaching statistics in an online course. These experiences have helped me explain complex material clearly and support students working through challenging concepts. I especially enjoy helping students understand the reasoning behind a statistical procedure and connect psychological theories to everyday examples.
My tutoring approach is patient, collaborative, and focused on understanding. I begin by identifying what the student already knows and where confusion begins, then break the material into manageable steps. We can work through examples, practice interpreting results, and build strategies for approaching problems independently. Whether you need support with psychology coursework, behavioral statistics, or understanding research, my goal is to help you develop both the skills and confidence to move forward.
