Hi! My name is Ainara, and I am a biomedical engineering student at Alcorn State University. I have a strong passion for helping students succeed in STEM subjects, including biology, chemistry, physics, and math, as well as in Spanish. Over the past few years, I have worked with both high school and college students, providing one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. I focus on building a solid understanding of the material while also fostering confidence, so students feel capable of tackling challenges independently.

My teaching approach is interactive and patient. I often use real-world examples to make abstract concepts easier to grasp, and I adapt my methods depending on whether a student benefits more from visual explanations, step-by-step problem solving, or practice exercises. I have experience helping students prepare for exams, complete challenging coursework, and improve their study skills. I also enjoy helping students learn Spanish, from vocabulary and grammar to conversational practice, making learning a new language engaging and accessible.

I have tutored in a variety of contexts, including volunteering with high school students, assisting peers in college courses, and providing private one-on-one sessions. Working with students of different ages and backgrounds has helped me develop flexibility and creativity in my teaching, ensuring that each session meets the student’s needs.
