Hello! My name is Jarrod, and I'm looking forward to being your science tutor! I have an undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University and a PhD in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University. I am passionate about biology and environmental science education and have been a teacher and tutor for more than 20 years.

I have worked with hundreds of students as a college professor, high school teacher and tutor. I have taught AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, Genetics, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Ecology, Botany and Zoology. As a tutor, I have worked with students in a wide variety of subjects, but I am particularly experienced with tutoring AP Biology and AP Environmental Science. I have helped a number of students score 5's on their AP exams!

I’m patient and easy-going and will work with you step by step to help you accomplish your goals. I have developed a tutoring and teaching approach that helps students succeed by getting them to see and understand the “big picture” links among biological concepts. This is critical in AP science courses where students are often overwhelmed by the detail presented in the class. I will work with you to come up with a tutoring plan to meet your needs and goals.
