I earned my undergraduate degree and special education and begin my career working with students with mild, moderate severe and profound disabilities. My experience includes both institutional type settings and public school environments, where I supported individuals with a wide range of learning, behavioral and developmental needs. These experience helped me developed a strong understanding of differentiated instruction, individualized support, and the importance of meeting students where they are academically and emotionally.
In 2015 I earn my masters degree and dyslexia therapy and have worked as a dyslexia therapist ever since in the public school setting. I currently serve students from kindergarten to 10th grade providing structured literacy intervention tailored to each students specific learning profile. I am both a certified academic language therapist (CALT) and a licensed dyslexia therapist, and I use evidence based multisensory approaches to help students build confidence in success in reading, spelling, and written language skills.
In addition to my therapy background, I earned my specialist degree in instructional leadership from William Kari university. My educational experience experiences across a variety of settings, have strengthened my ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to create meaningful learning opportunities for students with diverse needs. I’m passionate about helping students become confident learners while fostering growth, independence, and academic achievement.
