On a personal note, I have taught Sunday School in the past and directed Vacation Bible school for my church. I have two children whom I tutor on a daily basis. My children are dear to my heart. As an educator, I wish for all students to graduate from high school and pursue their postsecondary dreams of college and employment.
I believe learning should be fun and engaging. Children learn through many modalities and exploring all modalities during instruction is key to student success. Understanding unique differences in students allows the teacher/tutor unlock the doors of learning. Taking the frustration out of learning is vital to moving students forward academically. It is also important that struggling students experience success. Success breeds success.
I have taught reading and grammar to students in the past. Every student must learn to read to ensure academic success and positive future outcomes. My degrees are in special education. I have been train to address reading and language deficits in students.
