Bio

I have spent six years in my current position at a top-tier independent school, helping students to navigate the college search and application process. I get a ton of satisfaction working with students to put their best foot forward, while coming up with a list of schools that gives them the best chance of finding the right fit for them. I have spent six years in my current position at a top-tier independent school, helping students to navigate the college search and application process. I get a ton of satisfaction working with students to put their best foot forward, while coming up with a list of schools that gives them the best chance of finding the right fit for them. I especially enjoy working with students on their essays, as I believe that the essay is the best chance that the student has to present himself or herself as a living, breathing human and not merely a collection of scores and activities.

I advise high school students and their families at a top-tier independent day school on the college admissions process. My students have been admitted to the most selective schools in the country, including Harvard, Stanford, CalTech, Yale, Vanderbilt, Davidson, Emory, Washington University in St. Louis, and many more. I am responsible for guiding students and families through the college search and application processes. I am also a former journalist and editor, and I bring this experience to my work with students on their essays. Duties include, in part:

- Recommendation letter writing
- Essay coaching
- Organization and primary management of school's annual College Fair, regarded as one of the best in the Southeast
- Organization and primary management of school's Career Day in the spring
- Interview preparation
- Co-management of annual College Tour (14-16 schools in seven days over spring break)
- 2013 graduate of Harvard Summer Institute on College Admissions Mississippi representative to NACAC Government Relations Committee, 2013-15.

I look forward to connecting with you and finding ways to help you in your college search.
