An amazing and helpful math tutor
My family is so lucky to have found Rebecca. She's an excellent teacher in all of the ways one hopes for. She knows her subject inside and out, is able to adapt it to a person with a different learning style, she's patient, genuinely caring, and honestly makes the process of learning enjoyable. Rebecca was a weekly math tutor to my son for one and a half years starting when he was sixteen until he graduated from high school. Being homeschooled (unschooled) and not having previous interest in learning math, he had only taken one basic math class prior to this and needed a substantial amount of help in order to take the GED. With much guidance from Rebecca, my son passed the GED on his first try. I asked my son why he feels that Rebecca was able to help him so much / what makes her a good teacher. The first thing he said was, "She was always _extremely_ patient." He then added, "She made our lessons fun by joking with me, but always returned to the lesson and kept me focused too." And then upon reflection, he added, "And she was always open about my readiness for taking the GED, which I really appreciated." Next semester, as my next teenager gets prepared for the GED, we hope Rebecca will be able to be a math tutor for him too. My son and I highly recommend Rebecca and are so appreciative of her.

Rebecca has a good balance between teaching and confirming retention. We love her teaching style and communication. She takes the time to interview the kids and determine what they do and don't know.

Rebecca was fantastic at having a variety of hands on activities to help my 8 year old read. He enjoyed working with her on the different skills. Rebecca provided prompt detailed feedback to me about their session as well as helpful ways I can work with him as well.

Great ACT Tutor
Rebecca helped my son with several ACT subjects. He has learned a lot in each session and is much more confident now. She has a thorough and organized approach to covering each subject. Also, she accommodated his ever changing football schedule whenever she could.

Becky is helping my daughter prep or her ACT. They are working on both Math and English. My daughter states that she feels like she is learning a lot in the hour time period. Becky also sends her with homework to complete each week to see how she is progressing.
