My name is Brooke. My passion for education and learning derives from a love of literature and books that began at a young age. I have studied at Missouri State University for the past 5 years. I enjoy reading, writing, and history. I am studying to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. My passion is to help any and all people that I can. I have previously, and currently, work with elementary students. I can aid in any subject pertaining to literacy and language such as: reading, writing, spelling, and comprehension. In addition to this, I also have experience with public speaking and presenting information in professional settings. I can tutor in any elementary subject and enjoy aiding in the learning process.
In addition to my interest in the communication sciences, I have also studied creative writing, literature, and poetry. Teaching students strategies to increase their abilities to understand teacher instruction, lesson purposes, and subject content, is something that I am passionate about. One on one instruction can help students more efficiently in areas that they are struggling with, or that they wish to excel in. After years of academic instruction myself, I understand the need for focused and individualized study methods and learning techniques.
I have studied creative writing as a minor through Missouri State University. I have taken standardized tests such as the ACT and the GRE and have received high scores in the areas of English and Reading. (For further inquiry, please contact for specific scores.)
If you are looking for a tutor in any subject, but specifically pertaining to reading, writing, spelling, or comprehension please contact me. I am looking to help local Ozark and Springfield students succeed in school. My schedule is flexible and I am willing to help students in any way possible! My name is Brooke. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have studied at Missouri State University as a Creative Writing Minor. I have also completed literature classes at Saint Louis University. In addition to this, scores on both the GRE and ACT reflect high success in this area.
My love for reading began at an early age. In 2nd grade I fell in love with the writing of J.R.R. Tolkien in The Hobbit. From there on my love of literature and stories continued to flourish. My success with reading and reading comprehension is reflected in my academic success as well as from my scores on the GRE and ACT.
