About Samuel

Bio

I'm an electrical engineering graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Math and physics were the backbone of my coursework there, from circuit analysis to calculus. I've always found that the students who struggle most with these subjects aren't missing intelligence, they're missing a clear mental model of what's actually happening and why. That's what I'm most excited to help you build!

I like connecting abstract concepts to real, tangible examples so the math stops feeling like arbitrary rules and starts making sense as a way to describe the world. Whether it's algebra, calculus, or physics, I focus on building a student’s genuine understanding and fostering their natural curiosity. I can help students at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels.

While at West Point, I served as a peer tutor for the Center for Enhanced Performance (CEP), West Point's academic support program. I graduated with a 3.73 cumulative GPA and was placed on the Dean's List in all of my academic terms. My coursework included calculus-based physics, differential equations, probability and statistics, and advanced electromagnetics, giving me a strong technical foundation across the math and science subjects I tutor.

I know firsthand how demanding a rigorous, high-pressure academic environment can be, having gone through it myself at a service academy. I bring patience, structure, and a calm, encouraging approach to every session, and I want each student to leave not just with a homework problem solved, but with genuine interest and a better understanding of how their subject connects to the real world.
