Hello there, my name is Drew Shotwell. I graduated from Saint Louis University with an MA in mathematics, and graduated from Principia College in 2019 with a B.A. in mathematics and philosophy. I now teach at Principia College as a full time mathematics faculty member. I have over five years of tutoring experience in material all the way from middle school curriculum to college level classes.

I firmly believe that tutoring is all about empowering the student to take charge of their work, as opposed to doing that work for them. Even if they don’t consider themselves to be a “math person,” my role as a tutor is to give themselves a sense of confidence such that they feel like one.
