I have an EdD from University Missouri St. Louis and an MEd from Central Oklahoma State University. My educational background has been focused on special education in both a public school and university setting. I have recently retired, but miss the opportunity to work with students on an individual basis. My skills and talents in working with children to help them acquire the tools needed for their ongoing success in school-based programs is a strength.

I have extensive experience in working with students of all age levels to build their strengths in all areas related to basic English. Instructional and teaching skills related from basic word recognition to paragraph/theme development are considered to be exemplary.

I have provided direct instruction, developed individualized curriculum, and assessed progress with students identified with disabilities, as well as those who were determined to be 'at-risk.' I am familiar with student evaluation tools, as well as with school district procedures regarding student support strategies.

There is no question in my mind that I will be able to provide the greatest instructional support that any student might require to achieve their goals. My skills, experience, and talents ensure that any student I work with can make progress and growth. Any student's needs become a personal aspiration for me - their growth and success become vitally important to me.
