The Reverend Mr. Justin Blakley Anderson, V.D.M. (Verbi Dei Minister, Latin meaning Minister or Servant of the Word), is an Associate Minister at the Mount Airy Missionary Baptist Church under the tutelage of the Reverend Charles J. Brown, Sr. D.D. Reverend Anderson started preaching at the age of fourteen years old and was licensed to the gospel ministry by the Mount Airy Missionary Baptist Church on September 3, 2000. He was ordained also by the Mount Airy Missionary Baptist Church on January 24, 2010. Reverend Anderson, or Justin, as he prefers to be called, has been blessed with many gifts and talents; coming from a musically inclined family, Justin is also a skilled musician and writer.
Justin is a native of Saint Louis, MO, and he is one whose record speaks of academic achievement. He holds an Associates of Applied Science in Biblical Studies (A.A.S.) from Saint Louis Christian College (Florissant, MO), as well as multiple degrees from Western Baptist Bible College (Kansas City, MO) in Pastoral Theology and Care (B.A.) and Religious Studies in Christian Education (B.R.E.). In June of 2015 Justin completed his Masters of Theology (M.Th. Summa Cum Laude) from The Anchor Theological Seminary (Texarkana, Texas) after successfully defending his thesis entitled “The Deity of Christ from the Johannine Perspective.” He has also completed coursework at The Central Baptist Theological Seminary (Kansas City, KS) being awarded a Certificate in Ministry Studies. Justin is also the proud father of Justin (age 11) and Nathan (age 10) whom he affectionately calls “my chillun”.
Justin is also very active in Baptist life nationally and locally; he serves the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education (Dr. George W. Waddles, President) as an Assistant to Dr. Elliott Cuff the Dean of the National Congress. He also serves the Missionary Baptist State Convention of Missouri’s (Rev. Dr. Jimmy L. Brown, President) Congress of Christian Education (Dr. Relda Owens-Matthews, President) as the Chairman of the Time and Place C
