Currently, I am working for a Public School as a special education teacher. All of my lessons are specifically tailored according to each student's needs, as well as adherence to state and national standards as well as the Common Core Curriculum standards. Working with a wide range of student abilities has broadened my knowledge, skills, and expertise as a teacher. I have experience using RTI, ABA and Differential Instruction. Systems and strategies I have used to target Differentiated Instruction include: Guided Reading, Balanced Literacy, Everyday Math, Creative Curriculum, Daily Five and Collaborative Learning.
I also place emphasis on the integration of technology in my teaching and my students' learning through use of the Smartboard, I pads, Microsoft Word and Type to Learn. I have taught and tutored online so I am well versed with numerous online learning platforms.
