In May of 2012 I graduated Summa Cum Laude from East Texas Baptist University. I have a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies and a minor in Missions. After graduating from college I moved to the European country of Romania. I lived in a small, rural village for 17 months. I taught English classes to children and teens. Their levels of English were all different and I had to adjust lessons based on levels, ages, and learning styles. I value other cultures and love to learn about other countries. I also understand the difficulties of learning, writing, and communicating in a foreign language. My desire is to identify each student's particular learning style and incorporate exercises and activities that aid in learning.
I am currently taking an online course to become certified as an ESL teacher. I hope to have completed this 100 hour course by February 2015. I love working with people and believe that I am an encouraging and detail oriented teacher. I want people to succeed, and I enjoy being a part of the journey.
