Hi, my name is Cesarine and I’m a 19-year-old student current pursuing my Bachelor's degree. I'm majoring in Molecular Biology, and I plan to minor in Physics. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in math and science, especially in physics, chemistry, and advanced mathematics, which I now enjoy sharing with other students in a tutoring context.
I began tutoring in high school as a member and leader of the National Honor Society, where I worked with other high school students in STEM subjects. In addition to one-on-one tutoring, I also helped organize and set up our school’s tutoring program, which gave me experience supporting students in a structured academic setting. In high school, I took many science and math classes at the AP level, including AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics 1, and AP Physics 2. As I passed all of those AP exams, I want to help other high schoolers do the same. I also know which topics students tend to struggle with, so I hope to help them make sense of difficult topics. I can also help high schoolers with any math or science classes not at the AP level, and I'm opening to tutoring middle schoolers as well!
My tutoring approach focuses on helping students truly understand concepts rather than memorizing formulas. I typically break problems down step by step, ask guiding questions to check understanding, and adjust my explanations based on how the student thinks. I also try to connect abstract topics to intuition or real-world examples, especially in physics. My goal is to make STEM subjects feel more approachable and to help students build confidence over time.
