Hi I'm Yennhi, a current medical student available to tutor in the Seattle area for the summer. I have a B.S. in neuroscience and a B.A. in Spanish.
In high school, I was an summer tutor for my local elementary school, teaching reading, science, and math. In college, I was a middle school enrichment instructor helping out in music classes. There, I taught students how to play the piano and cello. I was also a tutor for my peers, specializing in science classes (such as college physics I and II). In addition, I was a summer program tutor for local high schoolers during their ACT prep. I took my passion for teaching to the St. Louis suburbs too, where I taught in a local school district as a certified afterschool teacher from the St. Louis chapter of Little Medical School.
I enjoy the mentorship aspect of tutoring the most. As a medical student, I relate the most to students who are interested in the sciences and want the chance to explore health professions. Coming from a university located in the city, I especially enjoyed helping out students/school districts that were underrepresented in academic. I enjoy working with students of all ages and feel comfortable adjusting my teaching style to tailor to anyone!
