Hello, I'm Diarmuid. I am on track to graduate magna cum laude at Saint Louis University with a degree in Biochemistry this May. I also recently took the MCAT in January 2026 and scored in the 99th percentile with a 523 (132/130/131/130). I believe this success is due to efficient, productive study methods that not only enable high test scores, but also allow for balance between school and my personal life.

For MCAT tutoring, I generally focus less on memorization and more on helping students recognize patterns and reasoning within passages to generate strategies to find the correct answer, even when the material might feel foreign. I like to use guided questioning and passage breakdowns to help students maximize correct answers in the limited time of the MCAT. Through this, I was able to boost my score from a 514 to a 523 with only three weeks of studying. I believe the MCAT isn't about knowing everything, but applying what you know already in the correct way, and my tutoring approach emphasizes that distinction. I hope to help students understand how the MCAT tests you, its reasoning, and how to use this to maximize my students scores. I can help develop personalized study schedules, help with test-taking strategy when content knowledge isn't translating to better scores, or help you to understand that one topic that just isn't clicking.
Through my degree, I have completed coursework in upper-level biology, chemistry, biochemistry classes and am comfortable breaking down the complex topics into simple explanations that enable efficient learning. I have tutored my peers since my freshman year of college in both volunteer and classroom settings, and have watched them succeed even after just a couple sessions.
Whether you need help with the MCAT or High School/College-level science courses, I believe I can enable your success through my tutoring strategy. I am comfortable in 1-on-1 as well as group settings and extremely flexible. Please contact me if you would like any more information.
Thanks!
