I am a dedicated educator based in St. Louis, Missouri, with a strong background in social studies education. I earned my teaching degree from Eastern Michigan University and am currently pursuing a Master of Education through Saint Louis University (SLU). My academic work emphasizes inquiry-based instruction, literacy integration, and strategies to support diverse learners, including English language learners.

I have several years of teaching experience in a classroom setting and currently teach at the secondary level with a focus on social studies. In my role, I design engaging, standards-aligned lessons that incorporate primary sources, discussion-based learning, and Claim-Evidence-Reasoning (CER) frameworks to deepen student understanding. I also collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and assessment to ensure instruction meets both academic standards and student needs.

I have worked with a range of students, primarily in middle and high school settings, and have experience supporting students with varying learning needs, including those below grade level and multilingual learners. My teaching approach blends whole-group instruction with small-group and individualized support, allowing me to target skill gaps while fostering critical thinking and student engagement.
