With fifteen years of experience in the K-12 classroom and a Master of Arts in Teaching, I specialize in helping students navigate the critical transition from elementary foundational skills to middle school academic independence. My career has been rooted in the belief that every student deserves a customized roadmap to success. Having taught third and fourth-grade core subjects extensively, alongside eighth-grade science, I have a unique perspective on the academic journey. I understand exactly what skills a student needs to master in the younger years to feel confident when they reach the more complex, inquiry-based environment of a middle school science lab or literature seminar.

My tutoring approach is centered on "Differentiated Instruction," which means I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all lesson plan. Instead, I adapt my methods to fit the student's specific learning style—whether they need visual aids for a biology cycle, step-by-step logic for a math word problem, or structured drafting for a history essay. In my science sessions, I focus heavily on "Scientific Literacy," helping students move beyond simple memorization to truly understand how to read a textbook, analyze a graph, and write a clear, evidence-based conclusion. This builds a level of "academic stamina" that serves them across all their school subjects.

Throughout my decade and a half in the classroom, I have worked with a wide range of learners, including those who are catching up on grade-level essentials and those looking for an extra challenge. My goal is to create a supportive, low-stress environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes—which is where the best learning happens. Whether we are working on long division, reading comprehension, or the fundamentals of physical and life sciences, I am dedicated to helping my students build the confidence they need to succeed both in the classroom and beyond.
