Hi! My name is TT. I recently graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Microbiology. During college I took many advanced biology courses, and through those classes I developed a strong understanding of topics such as cell biology, genetics, and microbiology. I enjoy helping students work through these subjects and making them feel more confident about material that can sometimes seem overwhelming at first.
While I was at WashU, I worked as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate microbiology course. I held office hours, answered student questions, and helped review key concepts before exams. Through this experience, I learned that many students struggle not because they aren’t capable, but because the material is often explained too quickly or in a way that doesn’t match their learning style. When I work with students, I focus on breaking down complex ideas into clear steps and making sure they truly understand the concepts.
My tutoring style is patient and flexible. I like to work through practice problems together, review difficult topics, and help students develop effective ways to study for exams. I always encourage questions and try to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel supported. My goal is to help students build confidence in biology and leave each session with a stronger understanding of the material. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Open to both in-person and zoom tutoring sessions.
