I come to tutoring with a long history of success in academia. I completed my B.A. in Women's Studies and English at the University of Michigan in 2020, and a Master's of Science with Distinction in Medical Anthropology from The University of Edinburgh in 2023. I am currently enrolled in an Anthropology Ph.D. program at Washington University in St. Louis, where I am an assistant in instruction for undergraduate courses in anthropology.
I have worked as a tutor for students of all ages and abilities over the course of my college and postgraduate career, and love to help students feel more confident in their educational endeavors! I have also been a camp counselor for children ages 6-16, and have lots of experience working with and teaching kids. Additionally, I have experience as a tutor for students with ADHD and other learning disabilities, and am happy to work with students who have alternative learning needs.
I believe that it's important to figure out the style of learning and teaching that works best for each individual, and I make sure to establish a system that benefits each of my students. I am flexible in my teaching philosophy, and ensure that learning and academia feel fun and exciting instead of daunting.
Outside of academia, I love to take my dog on long walks and hikes, explore new cities and places, read as much as I can, and cook!
