My expertise in Spanish and math comes from both my academic coursework as well as lived experience. I lived in Barcelona for a year which is where I learned to speak fluent Spanish. My experience in Spain has been supplemented by ten years of classroom education in Spanish and my interest in travel, especially to Spanish-speaking countries. I am also currently enrolled in Spanish courses at WashU, continuing to grow my knowledge of the language and Latin American and Spanish culture. Math is another area that I am proficient in and took all throughout my years of schooling.
I am relatively new to tutoring, but have some experience tutoring my friends in courses we took together. I tutored a group of my friends last semester, feeling comfortable explaining to a larger group, and also one-on-one. My approach was centered around comprehensive knowledge of a subject rather than simply memorizing facts and formulas. I am excited to work alongside you to make sure you understand the content and I can become the best tutor I can be.
