Hi, I’m Caroline, a 4th-year medical student and Pharm.D. graduate who specializes in helping students master exams and complex concepts with clarity and confidence. I tutor for MCAT CARS, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pathophysiology, biology, ACT Science, ACT Reading, and USMLE Step preparation. I earned my Pharm.D. summa cum laude with college honors and a minor in biology in 2022 from Drake University. During pharmacy school, I served as a pathophysiology and general chemistry teaching assistant, where I discovered my passion for breaking down difficult material into intuitive, manageable frameworks that students can truly retain.

I scored in the the 93rd percentile on the MCAT with a 98th percentile score on the CARS section. I have passed USMLE Step 1 and scored >99th percentile on Step 2. I also received distinction for my performance on shelf exams during my clerkship year.

Together, we can identify your strengths, gaps, and goals, create a targeted, realistic study plan that works for your study style and needs, and work together to learn knowledge and apply learning via practice questions and socratic teaching, etc. I understand how overwhelming these subjects can feel and how powerful it is when they finally click. My goal is to provide a supportive, student-led environment where you feel challenged, encouraged, and capable of succeeding.

If you’re looking for a tutor who combines top-tier academic performance, teaching experience, and a calm, empathetic approach, I’d love to work with you. Please reach out if you are interested and we can decide if we are a good fit!

Approved Subjects

Anatomy

Anatomy

As a medical student, I have received extensive training in anatomy and physiology.
MCAT

MCAT

I took the MCAT one time and received a score of 516 (93rd percentile). My breakdown of subsection scores is as follows: Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems 128 (85th percentile), Critical Analysis & Reasoning Skills 130 (98th percentile), Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems 128 (83rd percentile), and Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior 130 (94th percentile). My background in advanced English courses during my undergraduate studies helped me understand and excel in the critical analysis and reasoning skills, and I learned how to most efficiently study for the other portions of the exam.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

As a Doctor of Pharmacy graduate, I have had extensive prior education and training in pharmacology. This includes three years of pharmacology courses. I received an A in each of these courses and have since reinforced my pharmacology knowledge through courses in medical school.
USMLE

USMLE

I have taken both the USMLE Step 1 and USMLE Step 2 exams, with one attempt each. I passed USMLE Step 1 on my first try, and I scored a 276 (99th percentile score) on USMLE Step 2. I used a detailed study approach which included passive and active learning, practice questions, and spaced repetition to create a deep understanding of USMLE subjects as well as the topics outlined on the exam.
