I also achieved competitive scores on USMLE Step 1 and Step 3, and obtained ECFMG certification shortly after graduation. During my internal medicine PGY-1 year, I was recognized with an Outstanding Resident Award.
Over the past two years, I have worked extensively with medical students and graduate applicants, providing one-on-one tutoring for medical school subjects and mentorship for residency or graduate school applications. My experience includes exam preparation, in-depth application review, personal statement editing, and individualized mock interviews. The students and applicants I mentored successfully matched into residency programs or secured graduate school placements. Prior to this, I spent five years tutoring students from high school through college in mathematics, science, and computer programming.
I tailor my teaching strategies to each student’s individual strengths and goals, and closely monitor student progress over time and provide ongoing feedback to ensure steady improvement. My approach emphasizes building a strong foundation in the basic sciences while reinforcing concepts through engaging and relevant clinical examples, helping students understand why their knowledge matters in real life. My goal is to help students develop efficient, sustainable study strategies that support long-term academic success.
I welcome medical students, premed students, and high school students interested in pursuing medicine to work with me. In addition, I bring frontline international healthcare experience and am fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English. I achieved a perfect score on Taiwan’s university entrance examination and am also open to teaching Mandarin/Traditional Chinese to learners ranging from high school students to adults.
