My name is Trinity, and as a fellow student, as many and most of us are, I understand the struggle of falling behind and not understanding certain subjects. For me, it was math, however I excelled in English and Language Arts. It was also a subject I really enjoyed, and I found I had a knack for helping those who struggled with it. Through helping peers, I soon learned I was able to help others too, including those older than myself and younger.

I have two years of tutoring experience through tutoring peers and classmates (free of charge) while in college. I graduated cum laude with my Associate Degree from East Central College while being a member of Phi Theta Kappa. In addition, I am currently employed as a classroom para who teaches students with disabilities and IEPs, so I have experience teaching as well.
I believe in an individualized approach to learning. I acknowledge and understand all student learn differently, and I adjust my teaching methods to the individual's needs. If students need real world examples and application to better understand, I will include those in my instruction. I’m also able to adjust the rate at which I teach, meaning if an individual learns better at a faster or slower pace, I’m able to go with their preferences. Most importantly, I understand students may require more explanation and effort to be able to properly understand a topic, and I believe patience is key while teaching.
I enjoy being able to extend my knowledge and understanding of ELA to others and seeing them succeed where they were once struggling.
I’ve met many people who stopped pursuing a subject because it was something they had a hard time with, however I believe they weren’t given the resources they needed. I would love to be a resource for those who may want to pursue their interests in ELA, or even those who are just having difficulty understanding it, and help them improve and gain understanding regardless.
