Hi! I am a fourth-year medical student and I’ve been tutoring for over 10 years. I earned my undergraduate degree in Biology from Stanford University, along with a minor in Education, where I studied how people learn and how to teach effectively. Since then, I’ve tutored students of all ages, from elementary school to graduate school, across a wide range of subjects including biology, chemistry, math, and standardized test preparation. I’ve taken and excelled in many of the same exams my students are preparing for.
My approach to tutoring is flexible and student-centered. I believe learning should feel approachable and fun, and I focus on helping students build both understanding and confidence. Whether we’re working through a tough passage, reviewing content, or developing a test-taking strategy, I aim to break things down clearly and adapt my explanations to how each student learns best. I often start by identifying goals and areas of uncertainty, then use active learning techniques to guide students through practice and reflection. As a medical student, I also serve as a peer tutor for preclinical coursework and am currently taking additional classes in medical education to continue strengthening my teaching skills.
If you're looking for a tutor who’s committed, experienced, and truly enjoys teaching, I’d love to work with you. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to see if we’d be a good fit! I’m always happy to chat and learn more about your goals!
