My name is Aakash and I am a medical student at Saint Louis University School of Medicine (SLUSOM) in St. Louis, MO. I also completed my B.S. in biomedical engineering at SLU, where I was a Presidential Scholar, Medical Scholar, and Honors student. Most recently I have tutored in organic chemistry and MCAT CARS with improvements reported by my students in both. At SLU, I am a co-lead for our student-run MCAT course designed to be a free-resource for pre-med students on the campus. My other experience includes being a volunteer tutor for math and reading/comprehension to students aged 5 to 21 with Down syndrome for 1.5 years.

While not a perfect student at first, I pride myself in my ability to adapt my learning style to the course I am taking. This strength translates to my success as a student across disciplines where teachers and teaching styles differ tremendously. As a tutor, I aim to help my students develop habits and skills that support learning throughout their lifetime. This includes learning discipline, problem-solving, and abstract thought processes.
