English: Writing, SAT, ACT, AP Language and Literature Specialist

I specialize in tried-and-true learning strategies that support English development and the critical thinking skills necessary for success on the SAT, ACT, AP Language, and AP Literature. I work with high school students on their coursework and on developing the English skills necessary for these important tests, exams, and courses, as well as preparing for college. In addition, I regularly work with college students, supporting their journey through college courses and writing assignments. I also work with K-8th-grade students to develop English Language Arts skills that will make them successful in the future.

I have tutored students from 4th grade through college and beyond since 2016, and I have taught Literature, Rhetoric, and Writing at the college and university level since 2014. I have a Doctorate in English, a Master's in Education and Learning Technology, and a BA in History and Latin.

Every semester, I work with a handful of K-12 and university students, as well as lifelong adult learners, as a private tutor specializing in a classical education approach to literature, reading, and composition. I focus on developing critical thinking, analysis, and rhetorical skills, while building reading comprehension and strong writing competency. I have experience working with middle and high school students on coursework, essays, AP Language, SAT test prep, and applications. I work with college students not only on their courses and writing projects, but also on their job, internship, and graduate school applications.

I also regularly work with homeschool students and their parents, designing and implementing individualized programs for their curriculum needs in ELA, writing, literature, college prep, and more.
