My passion is working with students and supporting them on their journey to independence, not only academically but socially and emotionally as well. Teaching Social Emotional learning along core academics increases student retention and understanding of concepts. It raises a student’s academic confidence and enables the student to take risks. I’ve trained and implemented numerous research-based reading programs and analyzed data collection to form instruction. I’ve been successful in implementing SIM Learning Strategies to provide students with tools to use in the general education setting.
