I am passionate about teaching early reading skills and have hands-on experience successfully teaching children how to read using phonics-based instruction. I personally taught all of my children their letters, sounds, and how to read, building a strong foundation step by step. Most recently, I taught my granddaughter Lena to read fluently by focusing on letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and blending sounds into words and sentences.

I am currently working with my three-year-old grandson, who can already recognize every letter and identify their sounds, demonstrating my ability to introduce early literacy skills in a way that is engaging and effective even for very young learners.

My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and structured, while still keeping learning fun and interactive. I understand that every child learns differently, and I adapt my methods to meet each student where they are, helping them build confidence as they progress.

I am especially skilled in phonics, early reading development, and foundational literacy, and I am committed to helping children not only learn to read, but enjoy the process. My goal is to create a positive learning experience that builds both skill and confidence.
