Hi everyone! My name is Katlynn, but I prefer to go by Kate. I have an Associates degree in Science and I am also seeking a second degree in Elementary Education! I love teaching others and helping them learn and succeed with their education! My favorite subjects to tutor in would be Science, Math, Writing, Reading, and English! I guess you could say that I love all subjects. I just love learning in general so in my free time you’ll probably catch me reading a book or researching things that catch my eye!

I think it is very important to have a tutor that gives their full attention to the student and is able to teach the student in way that helps them learn the best. We all have different ways of learning and retaining information and I believe it is important as a tutor to help your students find that! I prefer to work with students individually but I am not against teaching in small groups. If a child is really struggling in a specific subject I prefer to have a one on one tutoring session that way I can focus on the students specific needs.
I am flexible with tutoring sessions, but as a mother myself that also teaches my own children I would like to have a 8 hour cancellation notice. I want to help the students I work with as much as I possibly can so it would also be helpful for the parent to provide any additional information at the time of booking about specifics that their child needs help with.
