I am a certified secondary mathematics teacher with a strong academic background in both education and computer science. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri and have experience teaching high school math as well as working as a long-term substitute. My work in the classroom has given me a solid understanding of how students learn, how to identify gaps in understanding, and how to create a supportive environment where they can build confidence in challenging subjects.

My tutoring approach is centered on clarity, patience, and structure. I focus on developing a student’s conceptual understanding before moving into more complex applications. Whether a student is working through algebra, preparing for a standardized test, or beginning to learn programming, I help them break problems down into manageable steps and develop strategies they can use independently. I enjoy helping learners reach the moment when difficult ideas start to make sense, and I emphasize long-term skill development rather than memorizing procedures.

In addition to mathematics, I tutor a range of computer science topics. My background includes experience with several programming languages, software development concepts, and core areas of computer science such as data structures and algorithms. I work with students who are taking introductory courses, returning to programming after time away, or seeking support with projects and coursework.
