I have taught 5th grade, as well as 6th and 8th grade science. I have been in the Rockwood school district all 15 years of teaching. Main middle school science topics are life and physical as well as chemistry. Challenge classes I've taught cover in depth math formulas so I'd be comfortable tutoring math as well.
I've taught all the up to 8th grade challenge physical science which covers a wide variety of math and algebra concepts. My students comment that some formulas seemed hard make more sense after the way I explained it to them.
I have taught 8th grade physical science 13 out of 15 years. My forte is forces and motion, energy, and matter& chemistry. Science is my passion. The challenge level science I've taught encompasses a lot of formulas like acceleration, energy etc.
I seem to have a way of explaining things in a fun and easy manner according to my students. Some had anxiety going into a challenge course but they say I make it easy to understand. Main elementary topics are science and math I'd be most knowledgeable on. Could help with vocabulary and reading as well with guidance on various online sites

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
