I am a retired elementary music teacher with 25 years of educational experience. I love to see the "lights come on" in a students mind when they understand a concept. It could be writing a great melodic line or playing or singing a hard passage that's been a struggle. I have had those same struggles and can relate. One on one tutoring is a great vehicle for the arts, as it provides intense, individual instruction.
I have a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Baylor University. I have had instruction in music theory, music history, sight singing, voice and general music. I have 25+ years of experience as an elementary music specialist. I have been responsible for classroom instruction, as well as producing large group performances. I have experience in choral directing as well.
