Hello, I'm Meghan! I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and recently completed my Master's in Political Psychology. Hello, I'm Meghan! I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and recently completed my Master's in Political Psychology. During undergrad, I became painfully aware that I had never learned how to learn, a more gruesome realization considering that I graduated in the top 10% of my class. It seriously raises the question: What is academic success if students lack the power to learn?
I believe true academic success is about building long-term self-sufficiency, and that's exactly why I love tutoring. By seeking out support, a student has already taken that crucial first step of recognizing a challenge and actively adjusting their strategy. For more than a year now, I have worked one-on-one with students, ages 12 and up, to build this independence. My sessions focus on equipping students with actionable frameworks rather than just giving away answers. We start by mapping out the exact root of a problem, then use a personalized game plan, visual concept guides, and targeted practice problems/prompts to master it.
As much as I love working with my students, my ultimate goal is for them to find success on their own, in and outside of the classroom. That is why I provide personalized reference materials that serve as a reliable blueprint students can confidently use long after our session ends. It's time to take control of your learning!
