I am an experienced educator with 14 years of teaching Social Studies, including 4 years specializing in AP Human Geography. For the past 3 years, I have also served as an AP Reader, giving me valuable insight into how the AP exam is scored and what students need to succeed. My dedication to geography education has been recognized nationally and internationally—I was named an American Geographical Society Teacher Fellow in 2022 and in 2024 was honored to serve as a delegate for the Northeast Asian History Foundation’s geography education conference and field study in South Korea.
My students’ success is my top priority: in 2025, 83% of my AP Human Geography students earned a passing score on the AP exam. Beyond the classroom, I have been working as a one-on-one tutor for the past 4 years, helping high school students strengthen their skills, build confidence, and achieve academic goals. I primarily work with 9th graders but have extensive experience supporting students in grades 9–12.
I am in the process of furthering my expertise as a graduate student in the Geography Master’s program at Marshall University. I bring a flexible and personalized approach to tutoring—adapting strategies to fit each student’s unique learning style and needs, whether that means targeted test prep, building foundational knowledge, or developing study habits for long-term success.
With a passion for geography and a proven record of helping students excel, I am committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.
