I’m Cayla! I graduated from Central Methodist University with a bachelor's degree in Music Education, while also studying Church Leadership. I am motivated to help students succeed and develop as lifelong learners in both music education and biblical knowledge.
Upon graduating college, I spent a summer abroad as a missionary in South Korea teaching music and Bible studies to students who would come to the classes we were offering. In February of 2020, I married my husband. Since then, we have welcomed two pets into our home, a dog and a cat, and have undergone procedures to become licensed foster parents.
I am first and foremost a believer in Christ and study the Bible on a regular basis. I am also studying to become a worship leader, wherein I need to know Biblical studies and principles in order to adequately do my job. I took classes over the Old Testament and New Testament in college, in order to help prepare me to teach Bible in future endeavors.
I am a certified music teacher, and have studied Music History, General Music, Songwriting, and Voice extensively during my studies in college. I love working with students of all ages and am certified to work with students in grades K-12. I write my own music and try to incorporate music into my every day life. It is truly something that brings the whole of humanity together!
